A Message from the Principal

3:47 PM (26 minutes ago)

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! It has been wonderful to see our students return to campus and begin another exciting year at EIHS.

Over the summer, our staff dedicated time to planning meaningful learning experiences that will support students' growth and development. This year, much of that work will center on interdisciplinary projects that encourage students to connect their learning in new and engaging ways.

I would also like to thank our PTO for their continued support. Your generosity in providing food and supplies for our staff is greatly appreciated. More importantly, your partnership helps fuel the innovative work happening across our campus and creates opportunities for our students and teachers to thrive.

To our new families, thank you for trusting us with your student's education. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know many of your students at bridge camp and during these first weeks of school. It has been a pleasure to watch them settle into the EIHS community

.

We look forward to welcoming everyone to campus for Open House on Wednesday. Families are invited to attend our Meet and Greet from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Cohort and Senior Meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. We hope you'll join us as we share information about the year ahead and celebrate the start of another great school year.

Thanks & get ready for an amazing year!

Welcome New and Transfer Parents & Caregivers!

Did someone say  "Starbucks"??   Many heard the call and came to meet and greet the new Principal, Elizabeth Harris, and PTO Board Members and get a brief overview of Energy, friendly reminder to sign up for PTO Membership, and how to get involved in the PTO!   Then, the caffeine fueled the mingling session and helped answer questions from transportation to vacation ideas for next summer.

Please see our PTO Website for a link to PTO membership!

Thank you for those that came in, some with foggy glasses and humidified hair, to join our community!  We're glad you came!

Presenting... The EIHS Fix It Crew!

WHO

Calling all Get Stuff Done folks

WHAT

Join the EIHS PTO’s all hands on deck committee: THE FIX IT CREW

WHERE

The Fix it Crew is a hands-on, project based committee.  Our projects focus on the campus - the facility and the grounds.  The 116,000 square foot facility consists of three multi story buildings organized around a central courtyard space.  The 12 acre grounds include the parking lot and greenspace.

WHEN

Every third Saturday starting at 9am.

HOW

We work taking care of the facility and the grounds as extensions of the administrators, educators, janitors, and maintenance folks.  Projects include painting, maintenance, cleaning, repairing, assessing, testing, moving and grooving!  Past projects include testing and mapping outlets in need of repair, cleaning tall hard to reach hallway spaces, and mowing the grass.

HOW

Join the committee by emailing Jennifer and Scott Palermo at fixitcrew@energyintitutepto.org

Show up on the 3rd Saturday for the coffee and donuts, stay for the camaraderie and the contribution.

PTO Hospitality Crew
Welcome Energy Teachers!

Our Hospitality Crew set the bar for welcoming our AMAZING teachers to an AWESOME 2026-2027 school year!   Chips and snacks poured out to teachers chipping away at their to-do lists!    Good Luck!!

Welcome Back Breakfast Spread for our Teachers
Hospitality Crew Brings it with a Big Breakfast

Imagine lying under an umbrella and listening to the waves and seagulls, finishing your beach read, and sipping your beverage of choice.

Suddenly, the alarm rings and your texts file in like young school kids lining up for lunch.

And then you wake up and realize it's time to fly out the door to Professional Development Day at EIHS!

But with our creative hospitality team greets with a smile and

our Energy teachers know they'll be pampered and taken care of before the 1st day of school and throughout the year, like a dream!

Summer Neighborhood PTO Member Meetups

A picture paints a thousand words!

EIHS PTO Members gathered at Cafe Brasil to meet and greet and get questions answered by PTO Board Members and Volunteers!   Students also joined in the fun!

Sounds and looks like it was worth hopping out of pajamas to get some coffee and hang out with your fellow EIHS community, in your neck of the woods/concrete and orange safety cones,  without traveling a long distance in Houston!

Please spread the word to sign up for EIHS PTO Membership!

Stay tuned for the next coffee meetups....  in your neighborhood!
